Dr. Walters graduated from the State Univeristy of New York at Buffalo, New York in 1971 with a bachelors degree in Biology. She then attended the University of Arizona and in 1975 graduated with distinction with a degree in Pharmacy. She practiced pharmacy at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona until 1979. At that time, she entered the University of Pacific dental school in San Francisco, California. After receiving her D.D.S. (Doctor of Dental Surgery) she entered the Specialist Program in Orthodontics where after a two year program she was awarded a M.S.D. (Master of Science in Dentistry).
Dr. Walters is a member of the American Dental Association, Southern Arizona Dental Society, Mid America Orthodontics Society, American Association of Orthodontists, Tucson Orthodontic Society, Tucson TMJ Research and Study Club and the Arizona Pharmacy Association. Dr. Walters is licensed to practice pharmacy in Arizona and California. She is licensed to practice orthodontics in Arizona, California, Utah and Colorado.
Dr. Walters is active in community affairs.She has practiced orthodontics exclusively in Tuscon since 1985.
She also enjoys participating in a variety of athletic activities.
